The OnePlus 13 and 13R: International Memory, Storage Versions, and Color Options Leak
The OnePlus 13 was officially launched in China last month, and its global release is expected soon. A recent leak has revealed that in international markets, the OnePlus 13 will be available in only two RAM/storage configurations: 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB.
Additionally, there is a catch: the entry-level configuration (12GB/256GB) will only be offered in the Black Eclipse color. The phone will also be available in two other colors: Midnight Ocean and Arctic Dawn, which correspond to the black, blue, and white colors released in China but with more appealing names.
The OnePlus 13R has recently appeared in some certifications, suggesting it could be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 5, set to launch in China in December. The 13R is expected to be a more affordable mid-range device, likely debuting internationally alongside the OnePlus 13, following a similar pattern in the past. It will come in a single RAM/storage option of 12GB/256GB and will be offered in two colors: Nebula Noir and Astral Trail.
The OnePlus 13 is among the first global smartphones equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Notably, the model featuring 16GB of RAM could set it apart from other Android devices, especially Samsung’s upcoming flagship models. Recent leaks indicated that the Galaxy S25, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, may not perform as impressively, partly due to insufficient RAM.
RAM isn’t the only advantage of the OnePlus 13 over other Android phones. It features an impressive 6,000 mAh battery and supports rapid 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. Furthermore, enhancements in OnePlus’s OxygenOS, which is currently testing the next OxygenOS 15 beta, include a new feature that allows the phone to report its location even when turned off.
