One of the two models recently introduced to the Indian market is the Mahindra BE 6e, the brand’s future, incredible, all-electric car. Mahindra has shown its supremacy with this action, hoping to not only provide India’s greatest EV but also show that Indian automakers are prepared to take on the world’s largest EV manufacturers.
To put it simply, the new BE 6e might very well be the spaceship that Superman landed in. That’s a sophisticated introduction. This feels like not just a big stride forward, but a complete leap—a leap into innovation, technology, and development—when contrasted with Mahindra’s previous EV attempt, the XUV400.
Mahindra’s Born Electric (BE) range includes the future Mahindra BE 6e electric SUV. It boasts cutting-edge technology, roomy interiors, and a futuristic look. The BE 6e, which is anticipated to go on sale in early 2025, will have two battery options: a bigger 79 kWh battery that can give up to 550 km under WLTP standards and a smaller 59 kWh battery with a range of roughly 400–450 km. Both versions generate up to 281 horsepower and employ a rear-wheel drive system, according to Autocar India.
Advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS), a 16-speaker Harman Kardon system with Dolby Atmos, a twin-screen infotainment system, an augmented reality head-up display, and different drive modes are some of the salient features. Innovative features including autonomous self-parking, ambient lighting customization, and a driver and occupant monitoring system are all included in the BE 6e.
Features:
* A twin-spoke steering wheel featuring touch sensitive controls and an illuminated BE emblem is the main feature of the BE 6E’s cabin. This device is not new because the two-spoke steering wheel with the glowing Tata emblem is a feature of all newer Tata vehicles.
* A twin-display arrangement with air conditioning vents and a center console arm that separates the two front passenger areas dominate the SUV’s dashboard aside from that.
* A strap-like door grab grip on the interior is another intriguing innovation that gives the BE 6E’s cabin a pleasant touch.
* The 16-speaker Harman Kardon-sourced music system, drive modes, panoramic sunroof, wireless mobile charging, automatic climate control, and OTA updates are a few noteworthy features.
Mahindra BE 6E Safety
* Seven airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, EPB, auto park assist, and a 360-degree camera are among the essential safety features.
* There are currently no crash test safety ratings available for the Mahindra BE 6E.
Mahindra BE 6E Exterior and Interior Styling
* The majority of the concept car’s design features are still present in the BE 6E. The aero-spec dual-tone alloy wheels, sloping roofline, glossy black body cladding, full-length LED light bar on the tailgate, the new Mahindra twin peaks emblem, the C-shaped LED DRLs, and a large rear diffuser are a few of these.
* An airplane-inspired gear lever, a dual digital screen that houses the infotainment system and driver’s display, and a new two-spoke multifunction steering wheel with a backlit BE logo are all features of the Mahindra BE 6E’s interior.
* A drive mode selector, front armrest, engine start-stop button, and cup holders are also located in the centre console. A Level 2 ADAS suite and an enhanced heads-up display are also available.
The available colors are Tango Red, Everest White Satin, Desert Myst, and Firestorm Orange.
